"Yesterday was my first visit to Georgetown Oral and Facial, as I had a dental surgery consultation. From the front desk receptionist to the nurses and the surgeon, everyone was incredibly polite and welcoming. The surgeon took the time to thoroughly explain everything to me and walked me through my treatment plan step by step. I went in feeling nervous and uncertain about what to expect, but left feeling completely relieved and confident, with a clear understanding of the process and no lingering questions or concerns."

"Second UPDATE:Day Three,, My mout6h woke me up just around 1 am,, It was throbbing. I guess my medicine had all run out . so I to my Motrin and my Gabapenton and held an ice pack against my face until the pain stopped, about an hour, hour and a half.Then it felt better and I was able to go back to sleep.I ate 2 tuna fish sandwhiches today and it went pretty good. The problem was afterwords when I had to take my bottom teeth out and rinse them and my mouth out. All in all, everything has been going great, looking forward to the end of the first week.UPDATE:Two days after surgery, 16 teeth removed and dentures put in, still healing. No swealing, no real painful points, I use my ice pack every morning and between that and my coffee I'm if feels really good. Dr. Henderson must have been really gentle with me, but of course I think my teeth were about ready to fall out..I went on a Thursday morning. To start with I am scared to death of dentists. I was in the U.S. Navy submarine service for 20 years and you can not go to sea on a submarine with your wisdom teeth at all, period. I would have felt better dead than letting him take out my wisdom teeth, it was that bad... I made sure to do the best job taking care of them while I was in. Upon my discharge physical I had to have more work done. From those 2 experiences I developed a fear, a huge fear. I retired in 1999 and never went to a dentist again until last year to start the change over to dentures.Yesterday I went to Dr. Henderson at 10 am. He was swamped. She cam and got me and took me back to my room. She started laughing gas on me to calm me down. We talked before he came in and when he did it was brief, very brief. Everyone there knew I was terrified and they treated me accordingly, quick... From the time he came into the room to the time I was asleep it was less than a minute. He put that IV in my are and hit me with that shot and I was out!! I don't even remember saying "Hi" to him, or anything. He was fast, and I was very thankful.The next thing I know I was waking up with a mouth full of gauze and getting into a wheel chair, and trying to talk... She wheeled me out to the car and helped me in, I couldn't believe it, we were headed home and it wasn't even eleven yet... I did everything, well most everything they told me to and today, Friday, I have no swelling or soreness beyond what a Motrin couldn't take care of. He pulled 16 teeth, some just roots, and it doesn't even feel like he was in my mouth.. seriously...I go back in a week for exam and re-fitting me dentures, I'll be sure to update this then. I was sorry to see I could only give 5 stars, him and his staff deserve all 5, they were all doin their best to get me through this entire situation, and they did. I was making payments to the office for a couple of moths before my appointment, my last payment was to be Wednrsday. Instead I came in and told her I wanted to pay the last balance when The other girl turned real quick as announced I owed nothing. I was confuessed, she said she called my insurance company on Tuesday and some how they got it worked out that it was all paid.. That was so awesome and I was so greatful to her for getting it done.At Hendersaon dental everyone treats you with respect and with caring. It may say "Henderson" on the sign but only because he is the one who assembled the best team possible, and her did a wonderful job doing it. Thank You Henderson dental staff, you were wounderful !! Hopefully I'll be back one more time..Thank You ALL again."

I don’t even remember the process , I was complete numb for about 16 hours afterwards. This morning although I’m some what sore there is no pain!! None!! I’m in total shock! "Went in to have all my teeth removed and immediate dentures put in. I was terrified but the staff were all AMAZING and very comforting. Took about an hour and I was done. Surgery was yesterday and I already feel pretty good and not too sore or swollen. The only complaint I have is that my appt was months out but that’s understandable considering they are the only oral surgeon around that takes Medicaid. I HIGHLY recommend them. I’ll add a pic of me 2hrs after surgery!! I’m so beyond happy with my experience and will be suggesting them to everyone I know that needs work done. I appreciate everyone in that office! 🥹🫶🏽 oh and I wanted to add that I’ve been to multiple dentists and normally they aren’t nice to me I assume because of having bad teeth but these ppl were all just beyond great and didn’t pass any judgment at all!! I truly cannot thank them enough."

"I had three teeth extracted, using only novocaine for pain. I felt no pain, and was able to drive myself home an hour after entering the office. The teeth had decay between the teeth, very hard to fill. Pulling the teeth was easier than having fillings."

"I love this place and the people. It took a while to get in for the alveoplasty. That's my only thing. It's embarrassing to go around with teeth missing for so long but they had me in and out of surgery within 30 minutes. The coolest thing was as I was being seated for surgery there was two cats sitting outside the window in the grass just hanging around. Lol I hate that because I live in Eastern Ky you can't find an oral surgeon close by that accepts Medicaid. I did have quite a drive. But it was worth it. The staff was very friendly and personable. I would recommend them to anyone. They even called medicine in for me to make me comfortable after surgery for a few days. Thanks to the staff and dentist for making my experience great. Dentist appointments and surgery always make me anxious because you're always setting and waiting then called back to set some more but not this time. Check in, surgery prep, and surgery all were done within 45 minutes. God bless you all. ❤️🙏"

"I was in a wreck and bit down upon impact and cracked a back tooth , I've never had a cavity so never had to have a tooth pulled. I was nervous and chose to just have gas and pray . Dr Henderson pulled that tooth with ease!! It was done in just a few seconds after numbing. He was very nice and explained everything at the consultation before, So while I was a little apprehensive about having a tooth pulled I could tell that I was going to be in good hands and I was. I also appreciate the kindness of his staff, all were pleasant and friendly. I had called another office in Georgetown before this one and the person who answered the phone was very rude and I'm glad she was , because my next call was Dr Hendersons office. The young ladies working the office are knowledgeable and friendly and that means a lot to me. Also the lady who assisted with removing my tooth was so sweet and put me at ease. "My daughter had all four of her wisdom teeth removed here. The entire experience was seamless and positive. My daughter has high anxiety which put a great deal of stress on her as she anticipated having to have this procedure done.The doctor met with me beforehand and helped me to understand everything that was going to happen, including how to avoid complications. We discussed how to mitigate her anxiety and how we were going to present everything to her. When it was explained to her all of the processes in place for her to manage her fear and pain as well as preventing dry socket, it really helped her so so much.On the day of the surgery, the doctor and staff went above and beyond to help her not feel pain and minimize her anxiety. He was highly skilled at removing her wisdom teeth, so much so that it really only took a few minutes. I was especially pleased also about the nurse who gave her the IV. In the past, many people in my own family have had very unfortunate experiences with the IV process at other medical facilities. Lack of skill or caring caused a lot of pain for other family….but not this time! The nurse was so good at it, my daughter said it barely felt like a mosquito bite! No exaggeration.I’m so so happy we chose Dr. Henderson and his staff. I highly recommend Georgetown Oral & Facial Surgery."

"Hey I’m Thomas Niblett . And I just got done a few hours ago and will love to tell everyone . Hour much I love the staff as a 17 year old boy scared for his first surgery I was relaxed and and calm getting all 4 of my impacted wisdom teeth in one go . Whenever I follow up in a few weeks I wanna give everyone a hug because I love you guys . I was so doppy that I didn’t even get to say good bye or dap up / handshake my fav doctor Henderson I wanted to take a picture of my teeth . But unfortunately they were gone some where and I was to loopy . I just want to say as a kid with bad anxiety. You will get through this I promise just had mine done 3 hours ago and it wasn’t bad just a pinch of the needle that didn’t feel bad . And I literally, talking to other kids like me I had no idea I felt asleep it’s like it was cloudy surgery prep sunny 35 minutes after the surgery. But to you it will feel like a blink . I love you guys so much for calming me . I was scared about this for years and it felt like nothing today pain 5/10 . Only annoying part for me rn since I had the surgery 2 hours ago was the bleeding and gauze change. Dr. Henderson I can’t wait to see you in a few weeks to dap you up bro you a real one coolest guys. "I'm new to the area and used a Dr. in my insurance area for dental cleaning etc. Yesterday (9-17-18). I had an emergency requiring that the tooth holding my upper partial had to be pulled; it had set up an infection and my face was swollen terribly and I was in terrible terrible pain. Got the appt. and while in his chair asked the doctor if he would be giving me something to get the swelling down and later pull the tooth. He said NO and would just be pulling the tooth today. He also stated the shots to remove the pain may not work b/c of the swelling and continued the process of pulling the tooth. I was given the shots (about 9+) and could still feel the pain when he tried pulling the tooth I told him to stop after breaking off the tooth and trying unsuccessfully several times to pull out the root. He walked out and said he was referring me to an oral surgeon (that was the last I saw of him with no other explanation or sorry it could not complete the job) . I sat there awhilewith not knowing what was coming next. A dental assistant gave me a referral telling ME to call to set up an appt and it should be done either today or try for an appt. no later than the next day. I thought they would have called and just told me where to go since they botched up my mouth and I was still in pain. Got in my car and began calling to try to make an appt. with Dr. Robert W. Henderson the line stayed busy, I left a message. I thought to myself I could not stay in this pain after feeling this aggravation for 3 days. I mapped his location and just went over hoping I could get an appt. today and get this horrible ordeal over with today. The receptionist was busy on the phone with call after call and customer's waiting. I understood and hoping things would be on my side to get something today after seeing how busy they were in the office. With a smile she apologized for not acknowledging me immediately I began explaining my problem with another worker listening on; they said I would be able to see the Dr. today but it would be a while. I totally understood after seeing for myself how busy they already were. The wait seemed not as long as I imagined. When I met Dr. Robert he was very kind and professional and understanding saying you will be out of this pain in no time. Dr. Henderson was very comforting and sorry for my past ordeal. Well!!!!! he did just that...the nurses assisting very kind, professional and super polite! On of the problems after relocating from another state is trying to find new doctors who are good at what they do with a kind bedside manner. Dr. Robert W. Henderson is excellent with all the qualities you look for and I feel very confident going to him with any dental issue I will face in the future. The other dentist has been removed from my list."
